At PêcheBlu, we believe in protecting your privacy. The information we collect is used to process your orders and to provide a better experience for you on our site. While we cannot guarantee complete security of all stored information, we use a 128 bit encrypted SSL and an SSL certificate to protect the security of our customers' information and to prevent its theft.
When you become a PêcheBlu member, we ask you to fill out a form that requests your name, address and e-mail address as well as demographic information such as gender and birth date.
We may also collect information from returned information cards.
How Do We Use the Information We Collect?
Your name and address information is used solely to process orders. Without your consent, this information will not be sold, given, rented or traded to others for purposes other than order fulfillment.
Your demographic information (gender, date of birth, etc.) is used for several security purposes: including to ensure you are who you say you are and to prevent others from using your stolen credit cards for purchases.
We may sometimes use outside suppliers to provide services such as order fulfillment, shipping, payment processing, electronic data processing, website activity, who may need customer information to fulfill their services. They also will not release your personal data to outside parties and will follow our security policies.
We do not sell our mailing list or your personal information to outside parties, although we may share it with our affiliated companies for marketing purposes. If we share information with our affiliated companies, such information will be used only for marketing and will not be released to outside parties.
Refer-A-Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend an email inviting him or her to visit the site. PêcheBlu does not share this information and uses it for the sole purpose of inviting people to try our products.
Our Use of Log Files
When you visit our site we automatically log your IP address, your browser type and your access times. We may utilize this information to conduct site performance evaluations, to see where visitors are coming from and to keep track of click stream data (which screens user visits on our site). This data helps us to determine what content visitors find most appealing so that we can improve our site and better provide what customers want. Log files are not tied to personally identifiable information.
Site Security
All PêcheBlu employees take your personal information very seriously. All employees must learn and follow our security policies. Access to member personal information is limited to key management personnel and our member services department. Your information is ID and password protected and our Web security is reviewed on regular basis.
Correcting/Updating Your Personal Information
After becoming a PêcheBlu subscriber, you may correct/update any personal information by clicking on the My Account link at the bottom of any page, by entering your ID, password and birth date when prompted and clicking the Edit Information button. Any changes you make will be reflected in our databases instantly. If you wish to deactivate your account, you may contact our member services group through the My Account section, or the Contact Us section.
